Captain Payback is a 2012 gelding who proudly wears the badge of war horse. He is a new rescue found in a kill pen and still is under quarantine at our facility. He is getting some much needed R&R and we are working fervently on getting him healthy and restoring him to his once former glory. You can tell this guy had some amazing training and was truly loved once. He is truly a gentleman and you absolutely cannot help but fall in love with him. He lets you feel all over him especially loving head and neck scratches, even belly rubs. He stands perfectly for the farrier and comes running in when he sees you approach his stall, he loves attention. We will update you more as Captain Payback's health progresses and he comes off quarantine. If you are interested in helping to fund his recovery or his potential adoption when he becomes available please contact us.
UPDATE 11/11/19: Captain Payback has now been turned out to pasture and is loving his life out there. Unfortunately he suffered an injury that has resulted to him being deemed only a light riding horse. He could do trails on the weekend and maybe some light walk/trot work. We are sending him out to get training in pulling carts as that would be a perfect job for him too. He is ready for his forever home but just needs that special person that understands he is limited but he has all the love in the world to give and will give his light second career his absolute best.
