Rio is the reason we do what we do. While at the feedlot picking up three other horses, they showed us some illegible tattooed, unknown thoroughbreds. Our hearts melted when they ran them into the pen. We had to do something for them. Rio is a good natured horse. Quiet and very kind. A diamond in the rough. He is gaining weight good with just regular feeding.  

 

Update June 2015: Rio has blossomed and is the sweetest horse in the barn and it's obvious he is thankful for his now happy life.

 

Rio has been doing wonderfully with all of the volunteers and is enjoying frequent rides!

Rio has found his forever home in Texas! We are excited to see how this boy does in the show ring with his new people.
